Basit Ali, a former Pakistani cricketer got furious on the selection of the team. He is a very well known and famous cricketer. He suddenly became angry when team was selected. He was always appreciated for his performance in the team but he lost his temper when selecting committee made its decision.
The reason for his anger seemed very valid because at first he was selected in the team but soon he was removed from the team which is very unprofessional. His past performance proved him a very talented player so his expectations for his selection are very high.
He considered his sudden removal from the team is completely unfair .In his opinion, it has all happened because of favoritism. He named it a personal selection which is based on political references.
There could be another reason for his anger and it would be his lack of communication with committee and team management.
He was also not given proper reason for his removal from the team. Cricketers like all the professionals have the right to give them proper reason. Without it they could feel cut off from the decision-making process.
Basit Ali’s another reason of anger is his sentimental attachment with the Pakistan’s cricketing future. Players like Basit Ali consider their duty and finds it their responsibility to see their team succeed. So, it is obvious that the unfair selection of team would disturb him. His anger is also a reflection of his love for the game.
Another possible reason for his anger may be considered himself a failure for not being selected in the team because it is a big thing to be selected at first and then replaced later. It is totally a sense of failure for him. This is the thing which made him angry with the team management and even with teammates.
In short, the anger of Basit Ali is a mixture of his feelings which also show his deep passion with the team.
