Senior bowler of Indian’s cricket team Muhammad Shami has been a very important member of the bowling squad but unfortunately before the Champions Trophy 2025 he has announced his serious injury which can affect his international career.
He went from an emergency surgery after having a serious ankle injury during the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia. After that he went on a long break of 14 months because of the swelling in his left knee.
When Muhammad Shami thought about that difficult time he admitted that he was doubtful and questioned whether he would play ever again for India. He was very disappointed at that time but he never lost hope.
He was so focused to go back to his best, so he followed a very strict exercise routine. He started following a strict diet plan which included one meal a day to lose his weight. It was very necessary for his recovery and it was the only way to go back to rejoin his team.
Last year, he played in T20 Internationals and ODIs against England and showed his excellent comeback to International cricket. His brilliant performance showed how he was prepared for the Champions Trophy. It was all because of his love for the Indian’s cricket team.
He took 5 wickets for 53 runs in the Champions Trophy 2025 against Bangladesh and showed his outstanding performance. Not only he had showed his excellent skill and talent but he also broke the record of Zaheer Khan as the fastest bowler to reach 200 ODI wickets
Muhammad Shami’s devastating injury and the brilliant comeback was the result of his strong will power and commitment. His performance in the Champions Trophy established his role as an important bowling player which has not only motivated his teammates but also his fans .
